Arsène Wenger was suspiciously vague over the current injury problems with William Gallas.
As has been pointed out already on this site, the defender's contract is up this summer and seems to be following a worrying trend of having a lengthy spell out of the side with an unnamed injury before eventually leaving the club.
On Gallas, Wenger said: "I don't know about William. Wednesday was a day of rest and recovery for the players so we have to deeply examine everything to see where we go."
Skillfully dodged, as ever, by Arsène.
The absence of the Frenchman, however, along with doubts over Sol Campbell, Cesc Fabregas and Bacary Sagna, mean Arsenal will have to face Hull with a relatively weak side this weekend.
Mikael Silvestre and Denilson, everyone's favourite players, look almost certain to return to the side to face Hull.
Wenger told Arsenal.com: "Fabregas will be very short for Saturday. We will assess him today. He is starting to run now but we think it would a gamble to play him on Saturday.
"Apart from him, we have an uncertainty with Sagna on his ankle. We also have a problem with Sol Campbell and how he will recover. He finished the Porto game with cramp.
"They are 'doubts' not 'big doubts'. But we have to refresh the squad a little so we will see."
Denilson, who will have a big role to play without Song and Fabregas, says he is very focused on doing well for Arsenal.
He said: "Hull on Saturday will be a very difficult game. I think Cesc and Alex Song will not play so it's very important for us to focus now.
"We have just nine games left to go in the Premier League so I have a great opportunity to show what I can do.
"We're now focused on Saturday because it's a very important game. We have a lot of games: we played last Saturday, against Porto and then again this weekend. We're physically fine - a bit tired - but all we think about is this opportunity to enjoy playing."
