Wenger: Ramsey is in good spirits, but bored!
Midfielder Aaron Ramsey is bored, according to manager Arsène Wenger who spoke to him just before the match against Porto. Currently recovering from the double fracture suffered against Stoke City, it is thought that Ramsey's recovery will take at least six to nine months.
Stoke's Ryan Shawcross broke Ramsey's leg in two places after a reckless tackle in a harmless area of the pitch. Shawcross has yet to apologise publicly but has claimed that he phoned Ramsey in private.
Ramsey was enjoying a good run in the team before his injury, and the 19-year-old told his manager that he was bored at not being able to run and kick a ball.
Wenger said: "I spoke to him on Tuesday before the [Porto] game.
"You are bored when you are flying on the pitch and then suddenly you are lying on the bed. You can only be bored.
"He is confident that he will come back. He is determined, but at the moment it is a problem of patience, and when you are 19-years-old, patience is not your first quality."
