With the absence of captain Cesc Fabregas, midfielder Samir Nasri seems to have been tasked with the role of playmaker in the Arsenal midfield.
The French international impressed in the matches against Burnley and Porto, assuming Fabregas' role as the fulcrum of the team seamlessly, topped with an incredible solo goal against the Portugese side.
Wenger said: "These players give you a guarantee of good technique.
"To master the midfield is important. We have a game based on quick passing movement that demands good technique.
"Nasri had a very good game against Burnley and scored a remarkable goal against Porto.
"His injury during the [Porto] game meant he was a little bit handicapped. He had more presence in the Burnley game because of the kick he got.
"He can score and help assists. What is important is to keep the balance between giving the ball in the final third and scoring goals.
"On this occasion he made the right decision and has the talent to do it."
