After seeing his side claw themselves back to within two points of the Premiership summit, manager Arsène Wenger has every right to see his team as title contenders.
Before the season began, pundits and so-called experts ruled Arsenal out of contention for the title, tipping the likes of Liverpool (who are 15 points off the summit) to challenge Chelsea and Manchester United.
Double defeats against Chelsea and United did indeed cast a doubt over Arsenal's championship credentials, but Wenger has always maintained that there is a belief within his young squad that this could be their year.
With the Premiership top two still needing to play each other [and Liverpool], it could be said that should Arsenal take maximum points from their remaining eight fixtures, they might end up at the top of the table come May.
Wenger said: "I believe first of all, that we are in the fight and we have eight games to go. We are in there, why should we not believe?
"What I especially believe is that we will give absolutely everything to do it and we have seen that again today.
"There is team spirit there and it is special. You can see that we have the desire and the mental strength and we never give up.
"And for such a young team that is great."
