It's that time of the year again when we get emails from a number of sources with pictures of kits on the production lines, ready for distribution.
This one we received yesterday however, is not a picture of a kit hanging on a clothesline in a factory, but is of what looks like a poster of an upcoming advertising campaign for the 2010/11 kit.
There has been plenty of speculation on what the kit for our 125 year anniversary will look like, whether the brief to Nike would encompass enough of the club's traditions, rather than focusing on the commercials and sales figures (the colour blue was preferred over our traditional yellow because the blue kit sold more).
Imagine our rather pleasant surprise when we saw the photo below then, possibly one of the sexiest home kits Nike has produced for us in a long time!
The shirt's sponsors are included in the top right below the canon motif, a purposeful positioning that is perhaps a nod for the kit to look as traditional as possible.
The usage of the canon rather than the modern Arsenal crest perhaps confirms this requirement, and it underlines the class which a club like ours operates with.
Members within our Forum have already started debunking the above kit, spotting other screenshots on the official site and spotting similarities with another image of the home kit.

Whatever it is, I'm pretty excited about what the club have in mind for our commemorative kit, and you'll have more details here as soon as we get some.
