Manager Arsène Wenger has said that captain Cesc Fabregas could return on Saturday for the crucial Premiership clash against West Ham at the Emirates.
Being a London derby, it's going to be extra difficult to get those precious three points, and having every single player fit and ready for action helps.
Which is probably why we're breathing a sigh of relief that Fabregas was not rushed back early, for risk of aggravating his hamstring again, and will instead face a fitness test this morning.
As well as Fabregas, Tomas Rosicky and Alex Song should also return, the former facing a fitness test and the latter having served a two game suspension.
William Gallas however, hasn't recovered in time and the manager expressed his worry at the time it's taking for the French international to recover.
Wenger said: "Cesc and Tomas have a final test this morning. They should be available for Saturday.
"From the last game we don't lose anybody. So normally we should have Fabregas, Carlos Vela and Rosicky back. Plus of course we have Song coming back from suspension.
"However William Gallas will not be available this week or at Birmingham. It is going on and on. It is a concern.
"It is an endless calf strain and so we need Sol Campbell and Mikael Silvestre to be highly ready to help us out."
