Capping off a brilliant Saturday, news started filtering into our inboxes regarding Robin van Persie and Aaron Ramsey, who are both recovering from long-term injuries.
Ramsey visited the Arsenal training ground during the week and was walking without crutches.
Manager Arsène Wenger revealed that the young Welshman was encouraged by doctors to walk as much as possible without crutches, though there has been no change yet to his recovery time, still estimated to be within the 6-9 month region.
Wenger said: "Aaron has been encouraged to walk without crutches and he is doing that.
"The recovery is going as well as you could hope for at this stage of the injury. He is, of course, impatient as anybody would be in his position.
"But we have had no bad surprises. Until now, everything has been going to plan."
There was even better news later in the day, with Wenger revealing that striker Robin van Persie could be back in training this month.
The team arguably took some time getting used to the Dutchman's absence, van Persie having scored 8 goals in 15 games before his injury.
Wenger added: "Robin is looking sharp. But he is still a month away. He should be back with us this week. Our fitness man has seen him in Holland and here."
van Persie's return would be a major boost, with the title race being extremely tight and many pundits think that goal difference might decide the Premiership title this season.
