It's the question we're all asking - who will be in goal for our match against Man City? Manager Arsène Wenger was non-committal in his pre-match press conference yesterday, saying that he was still undecided.
Internally of course, he's already made up his mind. There is no way that training sessions would have been conducted with the keeper still being undecided. The defence need to know who's going to be between the sticks.
Manuel Almunia will definitely not play, he is still recovering from a wrist injury. And there is every chance that he might not play for Arsenal again this season.
Lukasz Fabianski, who was faulted by many fans for the team's capitulation against Wigan last week, should be in goal against City as Wenger is quick to back keepers who have made mistakes, but when pressed for an answer yesterday, the Frenchman hinted that Vito Mannone could start.
Wenger said: "I don't know yet who will be in goal. I think he (Fabianski) will be a great keeper. If you ask how many mistakes you can afford, I would say zero. But it is also part of the game.
"I believe Fabianski has total talents, with a great quality and spirit. He has a good opportunity to show how good he is. Of course, he was disappointed on Sunday, but I believe he was not the only one involved in our defeat at Wigan.
"The problem is I don't want to go into any individual things about our players. I have to stand up for my decisions. The goalkeeper is the most difficult job in the game. Look at Man United, they signed van der Sar for one more year and he is 40."
There was also praise for on-loan keeper Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny, who has received plaudits during his spell at Brentford. Szczesny has indicated that he intends to be the number 1 goalkeeper at Arsenal next season.
Wenger said: "I don't know how close he is, we will see at the start of next season. It's down to performances. At the moment my worry is Manchester City.
"He has done extremely well and we have a great hope for him. But it is important Fabianski and Mannone have good games tomorrow because they have as well the same talent."
