The latest comments from striker Andrey Arshavin has many Arsenal fans perplexed and wondering whether the Russian international has his priorities right.
After a disappointing season with the club in which he seems more interested in voicing his discontent in London and the country's high taxes rather than putting in good performances, Arshavin is now saying that it would be a dream to play for Spanish giants Barcelona.
He has not recaptured last season's form which quickly made him one of the club's star players, and has only scored 10 goals this season, 2 more than Robin van Persie, who was injured for six months!
There is no doubting the Russian wizard's talents, and he is one of my favourite players in the current squad, but we've been crying out for a talisman this season and he didn't step up to lead from the front.
Arshavin said: "Even playing just one season for Barcelona would make a pinnacle of my whole career.
"Barca are the best team in the world and I enjoy their style of play so much. But after watching them against Arsenal (in the Champions League quarter-finals) the enjoyment has quickly turned into sorrow.
"They are so much better than anybody else at the moment.
"I think there are three coaches who are the best in the world - (England manager) Fabio Capello, José Mourinho and (former Russia manager) Guus Hiddink. If I would pick a coach for the Russian national team, I'd want one of them to be our boss."
Well, maybe he did say something positive about Arsenal, concluding the interview with: "Arsène Wenger is also a good coach but not for Russia."
