Andrei Arshavin says that Arsène Wenger is expecting more from Arsenal next season.
The Russian was on the score sheet as the Gunners beat Fulham 4-0 on the final day of the season to wrap up third place.
Arshavin admits it was an easy game for Arsenal, and that the boss is already thinking about the next campaign.
He said: "We have completed the season. We had to secure the third place in this match. It was easy to play during the first half; we enjoyed our last game at the Emirates this season. Fulham? Perhaps they were saving themselves for the Europe League Final.
"Arsène said that it is important to rest well in order to be more successful next season. He stressed that we must take the trophies in the future.
"At the end Chelsea and Manchester United looked better. These clubs broke away from their pursuers and clashed for first place."
Nevertheless, the winger insists he enjoyed his season with Arsenal, and was particularly glad to get his first real taste of the Champions League.
Speaking to his personal website, he said that Arsenal's 5-0 win over Porto was his game of the season.
He said: "The game against Porto was the best. And it was my first time in the Champions League quarterfinals. I managed to find out what the Champions League really is."
