Spain have been given a boost in their World Cup campaign with the news that midfielder Cesc Fabregas and striker Fernando Torres will be fit and ready for selection.
Fabregas is recovering a fracture of his leg last month while Torres has undergone knee surgery but should be ready for South Africa for the World Cup favourites.
Fabregas' injury effectively ruled him out for the rest of the domestic season, whereas Torres' injury also hampered Liverpool's ability to finish in a Champions League spot, ending up in seventh effectively,
Manager Vicente Del Bosque said: "Both players should be OK for South Africa and that is massive for us."
Meanwhile, Theo Walcott has said that he is raring to go in South Africa, should he be selected in manager Fabio Capello's squad.
Capello is due to announce his provisional squad, and Walcott is hoping that he has done enough this season to be in contention for selection.
Walcott said: "It is very exciting, knowing that hopefully this time I can feature. It is nice deserving to go this time because obviously last time I did not deserve to go at all.
"I want to end on a high, especially after all the ups and downs I have had.
"Everyone wants to play in the World Cup and not many people get a chance to be there. Potentially it could be my second one by the age of 21 so it is dream come true so far.
"All the injuries I have had have been very frustrating but I feel fresh and raring to go. Hopefully I will feature this time, that would be nice."
Spain are currently ranked number 2 in the world in the FIFA rankings, with Brazil the top team in the world. Portugal are ranked third, whilst England are eighth.
