As you will all have heard by now, Andrey Arshavin has been moaning to the press again, saying last season with Arsenal was 'pitiful'.
The grumpy Russian told The Sun: "There was nothing special last season for me to think back about. The season was normal - even pitiful."
There's a surprise. If only you hadn't made it quite so clear with your performances and body language on the pitch, Andrey. It wasn't exactly great for us fans either, especially as watching lazy players like you is fast becoming the norm at the club.
While there is no excuse for his lazy displays, you do have to wonder if the player feels very loved at Arsenal.
There are rumours that he was brought in last January, not by Wenger, but by Ivan Gazidis. We were going nowhere that season, and the little Russian sparked the team into life and saved our season, before being inexplicably dropped by Wenger for the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.
His response was four shots and four goals at Anfield, almost winning the game for us single-handedly in an otherwise poor display. This is what Arshavin is capable of, but we've seen nothing like it this season.
Playing upfront on his own didn't do a lot of good for his confidence and neither did playing without Fabregas. With Cesc out of the team, I noticed that players like Nasri and Denilson neglected to pass to him quite a lot. Do Wenger's precious little talents feel intimidated by the presence of a genuine big name in the side? It's only speculation, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Russian was something of an outcast at Arsenal.
Will he want out of Arsenal this summer? If Wenger doesn't give him more of a role in the team then maybe that would be best for both parties involved.
