Defender William Gallas pulled out of training with the French national squad yesterday, and it was reported that he was suffering from a stomach ache.
Gallas, who has been included in manager Raymond Domenech's final 23-man squad for the World Cup finals in South Africa, was initially a doubt for the tournament due to a calf muscle injury.
Despite that, he took part in France's two warm-up matches, against Tunisia and Costa Rica. It is still unclear whether he will take part in the country's final warm-up match against China on Friday.
Gallas pulled out of jogging on a beach with the rest of the team, but not before having jogged around the pitch a few times.
A spokesman for the French national team said: "He (Gallas) started feeling unwell during the night, with a sore stomach, and started running but had to stop.
"This has nothing to do with his calf."
It's being reported that the stability of Le Bleus' defence has been a concern for the fans, with the former world champions conceding early against Costa Rica and Tunisia.
France will face hosts South Africa, Mexico and Uruguay in Group A.
