Striker Andrey Arshavin has admitted that whilst he used to support Spanish giants Barcelona whilst he was a child, he's now happy and satisfied in North London, saying that he's a "Gunner".
Quite how these comments have come about remains to be seen, but expect stories linking our diminutive Russian magician with that Catalan club in the next few days.
Arshavin said: "As a child I supported Barcelona, I do not deny that. Actually I continue to root for Barca in the Spanish championship.
"As for the English championship, I've always liked Arsenal, so when I had an opportunity to join this club, I happily agreed. So I've never seen myself as a player of any other English club. Again, I am a Gunner, and I am satisfied with everything."
Now, Arshavin is no stranger to controversial comments, with many of you getting quite frustrated with his often candid interviews which could be construed as sniping at the club.
The 29-year-old has in the past criticised manager Arsène Wenger's transfer policy, and also called on his team mates to improve their game during a particularly bad patch last season.
Those last comments were a bit ironic as Arshavin himself has failed to hit the silly heights of his debut season, scoring 10 goals from a forward position when captain Cesc Fabregas has scored 17 from midfield.
Here's hoping that we've yet to see the best from the little maestro.
