Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has said that he is not overly concerned with the amount of speculation surrounding his future at the club.
The Spaniard's position as the number one goalkeeper at Arsenal is under scrutiny after manager Arsène Wenger's comments over Almunia's future at the club.
Almunia has been under fire this season for a number of high-profile gaffes, with many of us feeling that he is simply not good enough for a club challenging for the league title.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference to Mirror Football, Wenger said: "I never said that he will be my long-term No.1.
"He is a great goalkeeper and he is in competition with Lukasz Fabianski. So I want to see how we finish now so I don't think it is the best period to talk about individual players.
"We have looked vulnerable at times defensively."
Arsenal have also been constantly linked with a host of goalkeepers, highlighting the fact that perhaps the club are indeed on a lookout for a new man between the sticks.
But Almunia is not overly concerned, saying: "I have a deal signed with Arsenal and nobody at the club has given me a reason to question my future.
"So I am not worried about the situation. I have seen what the papers are saying but I do not think it affects me.
"I am resting now and watching the World Cup, and then I will return in July to work with the rest of the squad."
