There are unconfirmed reports this morning of the club showning the door to defenders Mikael Silvestre, William Gallas and Sol Campbell, all of whom are out of contract anyway.
Gallas was especially on a list of players who's contract was being re-negotiated, but it seems that neither parties have come to an agreement, and the former captain is now without a club.
The stumbling block seemed to be Gallas' wage demands, as Chairman Peter Hill-Wood commented last week: "If someone else is prepared to pay him that, good luck to him.
"We would very much like him to stay for another year, but we are not too sure about two."
Arsenal fans will be disappointed with the news that Campbell has also been shown the exit, despite his excellent performances as a stand-in for the injured Gallas.
Campbell had signed in January on a free transfer and turned out to be an inspired signing by manager Arsène Wenger.
Silvestre is also another defender who has been released by Arsenal. The former Manchester United defender never really established himself on the playing field at the club, but was still above the pecking order to Philippe Senderos, who last week signed for Fulham.
Arsenal Mania wishes all three players the very best with their future careers.
