Denilson not worried about Barca

Arsenal midfielder Denilson says he is not concerned by the noises coming from Barcelona and their players this summer, concerning the future of Cesc Fabregas.

Barcelona have been vocal in their desire for the Arsenal captain to join them at the Nou Camp, but Denilson doesn't necessarily believe this is because Fabregas himself wants to leave.

The Brazilian is confident his team-mate will stay at the Emirates, and is looking forward to seeing him when he returns from his holiday.

Denilson said: "I believe in Cesc, because Arsenal has helped Cesc Fabregas a lot in his career, and I think that he wants to stay.

"The problem is that because everyone [there] keeps saying, 'Oh, Cesc wants to go, Cesc wants to go', then everyone here also starts to think, 'Oh, Cesc wants to go'. I believe in Cesc Fabregas and this season he will be here to help us.

"We need him. He is our captain and he will help us a great amount this season. I haven't had a chance to catch up with him as he has been on his holidays, but we are expecting him this week and I will see him again in training."

Even if Fabregas stays at Arsenal, he is unlikely to feature in the first game at Anfield, according to manager Arsène Wenger.

The boss claims the team that plays Legia Warsaw will be very similar to the one that won the Emirates Cup, with the possibility of a return to action for Denilson.

Wenger said: "Against Legia Warsaw you will see the players we saw in the Emirates Cup.

"I believe Song will be short, you have a little chance to see Denilson and a very little chance to see Abou Diaby - but Fabregas and van Persie will not be ready."
