Defender Thomas Vermaelen says that he is happy with the strikers available at the club, stating that there is a good variety amongst them.
Whilst Arsenal fans are still disappointed over the sale of Eduardo, the Verminator says that the strikers at the club now can cater for the different types of scenario during play.
New striker Marouane Chamakh was singled out for particular praise, due to his impressive performances in pre-season.
Vermaelen said: "Chamakh showed at the Emirates Cup he is a very good player.
"He scored a goal, he was strong in keeping the ball, he is good with his feet as well so he is a very good striker for us and he can be important for us this year.
"Nicklas [Bendtner] is strong as well, good with his head - quite similar [to Chamakh]. But we have good variation.
"We have Robin [van Persie] who is good technically, so I think we have good combinations."
The Belgian captain also said that he doesn't eel any increased pressure due to the problems the club are having in the defence department.
With several experienced centre backs leaving, it's now down to Vermaelen, who only joined the club last year, to lead and show an example to new signing Laurent Koscielny and Johan Djourou.
Vermaelen added: "No, I don't feel different pressure to last year.
"It is only that we have to perform this year; that is the only pressure I feel and I think everybody has to take their responsibility on the pitch as an individual and that is it.
"We lost a few [centre backs] and only Laurent and Johan came back but it is the boss' decision what he is going to do - if he wants to buy another one or not.
"But what I have learnt from last season is that you need enough players because we had a lot of injuries last year and you need enough players to play all the games.
"Laurent and I played together at the Emirates Cup, I have played with Johan as well and they have played together so it is the decision of the boss who is going to play.
"But from what I have seen of Laurent is he is a good player, he played well at the Emirates Cup as well so I think there shouldn't be a big problem."
Manager Arsène Wenger has admitted that he is still on the lookout for one more defender, but there is little progress on that front.
