Theo Walcott is pleased to have Cesc Fabregas back at Arsenal, after the Spain midfielder joined up with the team for training today.
Walcott is a big fan of Cesc, and hopes that Arsenal's influential captain will resist the temptation to join Barcelona and stay in North London.
Fabregas had an extended rest from pre-season training after he helped Spain win the World Cup in South Africa last month, and Walcott is excited to be playing alongside a World Cup winner.
He said: "Cesc's a big player for Arsenal so I'm looking forward to playing with him next season.
"After Spain's victory, it's a nice bonus to have a World Cup winner by your side."
The England winger, who missed out on the World Cup, has revealed he has been sending Fabregas texts of congratulations following his part in Spain's final win over the Netherlands.
He said: "He's one of those players who spots a ball no-one else would. I've been texting him. I sent my congratulations for the World Cup and said what a great pass he made for the winner.
"After that he just needed a good mental break from it all. I'm looking forward to seeing him back. He's a fantastic player for us and our captain."
