Manuel Almunia admits it can be difficult to focus on football with all the media attention that comes with playing at a club the size of Arsenal.
The Spanish goalkeeper has received a lot of bad media attention for his displays over the last two seasons, and his manager Arsène Wenger is rumoured to be searching for a replacement.
Almunia admits the stories are distressing, and that he would consider a move away from the club, and from the country, to live a more peaceful life.
He said: "To be honest, it is so difficult to concentrate because Arsenal is a big club and speculation is always in the news and everywhere.
"The only thing I can do is keep working because I have a contract here and I have to do what the manager wants from me.
"I have not spoken to him. If somebody comes in, I will have to talk about my future at Arsenal."
The 33-year-old has hinted that he likes to escape from things in his spare time, but often encounters difficult football fans in the streets.
He added: "I try to live in a bubble and give all my attention to my wife. Every morning when I go out training, it is the time to think about football. But the rest of the day is the time to switch off.
"It is not easy, though. Every time you go out, people are around you who are football fans. But you have to be polite to everybody and smile."
