Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in signing former Arsenal defender William Gallas.
Gallas left Arsenal in June when his contract expired, and has been on the hunt for a new club ever since.
It is thought that whilst manager Arsène Wenger would have considered extending the French international's contract, his wage demands were reportedly too high.
However, the wages, thought to be in the region of £80,000 a week, don't seem to be a problem for Spurs. And neither is the fact that Gallas used to play for both London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal.
Redknapp said: "His wages aren't a problem. He has not been greedy at all.
"His people have rung up and we spoke about it.
"He's been an Arsenal player but he was at Chelsea before that and playing abroad before he arrived there.
"It's not like we would be signing Tony Adams. He's a good player and he would be a very useful addition to our squad."
Arsenal fans however, may have something to say to their former captain moving to Spurs.
