Our 'homegrown' squad

In compliance with new Premier League regulations, Arsenal yesterday submitted its 25-man squad for the 2010/11 season.

The list is broken down into 'homegrown' and 'non-homegrown' players, of which there can be no more than 17 players.

The definition of 'homegrown' is not based on a player's nationality, but are players who have been affiliated to the FA or Welsh FA for a period of three seasons or 36 months prior to their 21st birthday.

In addition to the above, any player at the club can also be called on in Premier League matches if they are under 21-years-old.

This means that the likes of Carlos Vela, Theo Walcott, Jack WIlshere and Aaron Ramsey have not been included in the above 25, but can be selected if necessary.
