Arsène Wenger has praised Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle for what he has done at the club.
Under former boss Sam Allardyce, now of Blackburn Rovers, Wenger had some unfriendly words for Bolton's style of play, but now believes them to be a different prospect.
The Frenchman believes Coyle has got the team playing better football, playing it on the ground more than they used to.
He said: "Bolton have a good mixture of a direct game and football on the ground.
"They can be a very dangerous side, they have a good mixture of a technical game and a direct game."
Wenger also praised Coyle for giving Jack Wilshere a chance at the Reebok last season, when the Gunners midfielder joined them on a six-month loan.
The manager is grateful for Wilshere to have gained experience at a Premier League club, and thinks Bolton did a good job with him.
He said: "I give Bolton a lot of credit for having played him. It transformed Jack in his power, in his confidence.
"Looking at him at 18-years-of-age he is well advanced and I personally like a lot how he has developed.
"We were in touch at the start of the season because they wanted him back which shows how well Jack had done there.
"I saw in pre-season that he has developed very quickly and that he is one of the assets for our team as well. I consider him now a full player of the squad."
