Manager Arsène Wenger admits that midfielder Abou Diaby is a doubt for the game against SC Braga on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old was the victim of a heavy tackle from Bolton Wanderer's Paul Robinson, an offence which went unpunished by the referee.
Arsenal won 4-1 over the weekend to remain in second spot in the league.
We take on SC Braga on Wednesday, and now it seems that Diaby may be unavailable for selection.
Wenger said: "The challenge (by Robinson on Diaby) has been worse because I have seen the leg of Diaby and it doesn't look too good.
"The referee must not have seen it but the tackle was not good.
"We will have to wait (on whether he will miss the Braga game). I am worried, but I hope we will have some good news tomorrow.
"He is having a scan – he doesn't feel his ankle because he got a big kick on his shin."
