Arsenal midfielder Denilson was delighted to be part of a fantastic display that saw the Gunners thrash SC Braga at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian came on as a substitute and joined the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Alex Song and Jack Wilshere as products of Wenger's youth policy that ran the midfield show.
Denilson himself has had his critics over the years, but believes the manager's patience with his young players is finally starting to pay off.
After the game, the Brazilian explained: "Tonight was a very nice night for Arsenal and I am proud of the team.
"Arsène Wenger believes in us and if we keep playing together we have a chance to win something because we need a trophy this season.
"The manager's faith is paying off. For a long time we did not win a trophy and it is normal then that people say that Arsène Wenger has to buy experienced players.
"But you saw tonight that the youngest players showed how important they are to the group.
"I think this season we have more experience and we have more confidence. We want to keep training well, keep playing well, keep working together and speaking together.
"If you play well you win and we have the quality."
