Laurent Koscienly admits his short time at Arsenal has already been a career-changing few months for him.
The centre-back signed from Ligue 1 side Lorient over the summer, and has immediately become first choice in the heart of Arsène Wenger's defence.
Koscienly admits that he has had to do a lot of work in the gym in order to adapt to the physical nature of the English game, but that he is satisfied with his progress so far.
He said: "My career has totally changed in three months. It is going pretty well even if my game is still not 100%.
"It is a big challenge for me but I am getting better physically. I do a lot of weight training to strengthen me.
"It is much more physical in the tackle, the attackers are rougher and the games are more intense."
The 25-year-old is yet to earn an international cap, and is eligible to play for both France and Poland.
The defender hopes that playing in the Premier League and the Champions League will get him in contention for a place in the French national side, his first choice.
He said: "Yes, I think I can join this group [Laurent Blanc's French team].
"We must build on a season that I play in the Champions League to gain international experience.
"But Euro 2012 is a goal for me."
