Midfielder Abou Diaby has missed training with with the French squad and is a doubt for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Romania this weekend.
The French international also said despite the weekend's loss against Chelsea and dropping seven points behind the league leaders, there were still plenty more games to be played and won.
Diaby said: "Sunday was a bad afternoon for us, I just think we deserved something out of the game.
"Chelsea has the advantage on us at the moment, we dominated possession but didn't take our early chances.
"But we will get there I am sure about that, the league is a long one.
"My injury was a strong tackle from Essien and I twisted my ankle, but it is part of the game.
"I did not train and spent time with doctors. Hopefully I can make it but we will not take a risk."
France coach Laurent Blanc had initially said that the prognosis on the injury Diaby suffered in the game against Chelsea was positive, but it seems that has now changed.
Blanc said: "The news is generally reassuring.
"As I could see, he took a blow to his ankle, which wasn't in a very good state.
"But after the first examinations, although his ankle is sore, there's nothing worrying."
