Striker Nicklas Bendtner has said that the competition for places in the squad is producing a healthy rivalry with the players.
The Danish international admits that this rivalry is helping to bring the best out of the players.
With new signing Marouane Chamakh leading the goals tally for the strikers, there is also Theo Walcott and Carlos Vela, each with 7 and 5 goals respectively.
And there is still Robin van Persie, currently injured, waiting in the wings to make his mark this season after playing in the World Cup final.
Bendtner said: "It brings the best out of all of us. You want competition and at a big team like Arsenal there will always be competition for each place.
"As a player you want to play every game and it's up to the manager to pick the starting eleven. All I can do is give my best to get into the team.
"The way we have played has been fantastic and if we can keep that up it will be great.
"It is going well, we are where we want to be. We like to play together and we like to win games, that is what we try to do."
