Tomas Rosicky believes Arsenal fans should not get carried away with the club's current impressive position.
The Gunners have found some form to go top of the league, while reigning champions Chelsea find themselves in a bad patch and have slipped to third.
Confident away performances also mean a lot is expected from Arsenal as they travel to unbeaten Manchester United on Monday, but while Rosicky is confident of a good result, he has stressed that there is still far too much time for things to change before the end of the season.
He said: "Naturally, our fans have relished seeing us at the top, but I don't think any of us are getting carried away as we are not even past the half-way point of the season.
"There is still a long way to go. It's going to be a massive game as we can steal points from our closest title rivals, but even so there is still a lot of games to be played afterwards.
"People say that the spell over Christmas will decide about the rest of the season.
"From my own experience, I know that it is not always true. In the last season we did very well during that time, but got into a crisis in February.
"It is a lot of fixtures and a lot will depend on how the players can cope with it."
