There was praise for up and rising goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who made a string of top quality saves in the match against Manchester United last night.
Although we lost the game 1-0, Szczesny's performance was surely a message to manager Arsène Wenger that there is a future number one in front of him.
Wenger surprised everyone by choosing Wojciech to be the man between the sticks in such a high profile match.
The Frenchman said: "Overall that was a good performance from Wojciech.
"[He looked a bit nervous] in his kicking in the first half but overall with his hands he didn't make any mistakes.
"In this job you don't look at the size of the game. When you have the quality, you play.
"Every big goalkeeper has started at 18 or 19 years of age.
"You had Van der Sar, I saw him when he was 18 and he played in big games.
"It is a big frustration and a big disappointment but what is important is that we bounce back in our next game.
"Overall on what I have seen tonight there is no reason not to believe and we know we can play better offensively."
