Theo Walcott was pleased with Arsenal's win at West Ham yesterday, admitting that the players hadn't been in the right frame of mind in previous games.
The Gunners could only draw at home to Leeds in the FA Cup, with a late penalty from Cesc Fabregas forcing a replay at Elland Road. Just days later they were beaten 1-0 by Ipswich Town in the Carling Cup, leaving what seemed to be an easy place in the final under serious threat.
However, with a convincing 3-0 win at Upton Park yesterday, Walcott believes the team are back on track, and mentally prepared to get the results they need in the coming weeks.
He said: "That is not the Arsenal we know in the last couple of games. No disrespect to Leeds and Ipswich, but we should be getting better results.
"In the last two matches, mentally we weren't right, but that's out of the way now.
"The mood's great, we are enjoying it and are enjoying playing together.
"We do have the odd little row which you need and that happens in every good dressing room. If you don't have that it's not healthy."
The 21-year-old added that he believes the team is in good shape to win a trophy this season, with the players finally benefitting from years of playing together.
He added: "We are learning from each other, we have had so much experience playing together for the past few years and it's paying off - but we have got to turn that into silverware.
"This could turn into a great year for us. In recent times, we have come to West Ham, been bullied off the ball, their fans have got on our backs and been right on us."
