Pepa Reina to join Arsenal?

Pepe Reina has given an interview to Spanish radio station Onda Cero in which he appeared to hint at a possible move to The Emirates.

The goalkeeper, who has played at Anfield since 2005 said "I can't do or say anything; I renewed my contract with Liverpool last year. But what a player wants, logically, is to challenge for titles."

Hinting at possible destinations he added "[At United,] Edwin van der Sar is hanging up his gloves and people say that Arsenal are looking."

At only 28 years old the consistent Reina could be a perfect fit at The Emirates, with Almunia seemingly no longer trusted Fabianski prone to blunders and Szczesny lacking experience.

Whilst Reina has been a loyal servant to Liverpool he seemed downbeat on his chances of staying, "We used to fight to be among the top teams and to be in the Champions League but sadly in the last two years that has not been the case. Obviously, I want to play in the Champions League and I want to aspire to win titles."

Whether or not Arsène Wenger will want to pay what will surely be a hefty transfer fee for a goalkeeper remains to be seen.
