Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner has praised his team-mate Jack Wilshere as the two prepare to face each other in the friendly match between England and Denmark tonight.
The Danish striker is one of many to have been surprised by the 19-year-old's rapid rise to the first-team this season.
However, Bendtner hopes that Wilshere can deal with the inevitable media hype that comes with being a talented Englishman playing in the Premier League.
The striker believes a similar experience at a young age was damaging for another one of his Arsenal team-mates, Theo Walcott.
Bendtner said: "Jack Wilshere has done fantastically for Arsenal this season. He has shown his quality early on and he can be a great, great player for Arsenal and England. Jack is developing all the time.
"Young players are always put under a lot of pressure very early in England. You always throw players around really quickly. Jack has got potential.
"I have my own theories on how Theo Walcott was treated by England, but I don't want to get too much into that because it will probably just get me in trouble. But Theo can be a lesson for the way you treat Jack.
"It's important to take it easy and realise he is a kid. He's still young even though he seems very mature."
