Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann was part of the Invincibles side that won their last Premier League title back 2004, and he Gunners legend believes this current team can do it this year.
The German has been following Arsenal this season, and was particularly impressed by their 3-1 win over Chelsea towards the end of December.
He said: "I watch [Arsenal games]. I was in Asia and watched the game against Chelsea, it was massive, people sometimes don't realise how massive the Premier League and English football – particularly the big games – are in Asia.
"And it was good to see that they finally beat a big side and I think they should grow in confidence and believe they can win the title."
Doubters of Arsenal's title credentials would point to the defence and the goalkeepers not being up to the required standard, but the 41-year-old worked with Lukasz Fabianski and Manuel Almunia when he was at the club, and believes they are all good options.
He added: "I had a close work relationship with Lukasz Fabianski because he was joining our professional team. He was really good, he was brave, quick, enthusiastic to learn a lot which he has done after probably half a year.
"As for Wojciech [Szczesny], he was quite young when I was training with him, so I haven't followed his progress so far but what I've heard is that he's a great prospect for the future.
"And there's Manuel [Almunia] as well, who I rate very high. He was unfortunate because of injuries so I believe Arsenal have good keepers."
