Arsenal face an important fixture in the Premier League this evening as we get a chance to make up ground on United who face off against Marseille in the Champions League. A victory would really put the pressure on Sir Alex Ferguson's men and we would only be a solitary point behind them, albeit with a game in hand.
If we're going to push United all the way and pip them to the title, these are the type of fixtures we'll need to win and Stoke can be a tough customer, although their away form puts us firmly in the drivers seat for this one.
The bookmakers consider us strong favourites for this one and we're priced as low as 1/4 for the outright victory with Stoke an 11/1 shot to pull off their first away victory of 2011.
The Potters can give teams like us a bit of a tough time if they come out and play especially physical so a slower opening 45 minutes wouldn't be a dramatic surprise.
Draw/Arsenal in the half-time/full-time market is a decent 7/2 shot and that gives a lot more value than the 1/4 outright win. Arsenal to dominate both halves pays out at a slim 1/2.
Nicklas Bendtner will likely be called upon for this one and he's odds-on for an anytime goal at a 5/6 price. Samir Nasri remains our top scorer in all competitions and he's an enticing 6/5.
This is the type of match that likely won't be a goal feast or anything but could be one of those workmanlike 2-0 victories we need to keep the pressure on United.
Stoke struggle to score away from home and a (-1.0) handicap to Arsenal is a decent 4/5 shot. If you fancy us to win, that's not a bad bet if think there's a chance we run away with it. You can add a bit more value by backing us to keep a clean sheet at 5/6 though there is a little less margin for error with that wager. For those feeling like we'll brush Stoke aside, Arsenal to win to nil trades at 6/5.
