United could experience fixture congestion

Midfielder Jack Wilshere is hoping that the pile-up of fixtures that faces Premiership leaders Manchester United will undermine their romp to the title.

And United are still competing in two more competitions - the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Wilshere said: "I think eventually it will. United rotated on Saturday and they did well [against Fulham]. But I think eventually it will catch up on them.

"We have got a week between every game to prepare so that can only be good for us. It's important now that we get our recovery and look forward to the Liverpool game.

"Then Tottenham, we have got two big games coming up and we have to prepare for them.

"It's football, anything can happen.

"We know that United, and maybe Chelsea as well, are going to drop points. I think there are still three teams in this, it's going to go all the way to the end and we have to keep battling every week."
