AC Milan have conceded that midfielder Cesc Fabregas would be too expensive a transfer target this summer.
The Italian giants are looking to bolster their midfield and it's rumoured that Fabregas was a target.
But Vice-president Adriano Galliani has conceded that the reported £60 million price tag on the Arsenal captain was too prohibitive.
Mr Galliani said: "From here until August 31, Milan will buy a player that will be a left midfielder.
"(Napoli winger Marek) Hamsik and Fabregas can play in that role.
"We have never asked for Hamsik although we don't rule him out and, as for Fabregas, he is too expensive."
