Arsenal travel to Bayern Munich tomorrow evening for a crucial Champions League clash against the Bavarians, with the Gunners full of confidence following a victory in the reverse fixture.

Two weeks ago Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil were on the scoresheet as Arsenal got their European campaign back on track with a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium- and a similar result tomorrow would see them draw level with the Germans in the group.

Whilst that seems a big ask, with Pep Guardiola’s side dominant at the Allianz Arena, the Bavarians enter this tie on the back of a disappointing goalless draw against Eintracht Frankfurt; the first Bundesliga game they’ve failed to win this season.

However their attacking prowess is to be feared, with seven goals in their last three games since losing 2-0 to Arsenal. The Gunners, meanwhile, have scored five.

Bayern have kept two clean sheets from the three games since losing to Arsenal, whilst the Gunners conceded against Everton and then shipped three in the League Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Since the last Champions League game Bayern have had six different scorers, compared to Arsenal’s three, whilst Thomas Muller has three goals in as many games.

With Arjen Robben also returning, scoring in the 4-0 victory over Koln, and Douglas Costa continuing to impress, Arsenal don’t just have to watch out for Muller and Robert Lewandowski!
