Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla has signed a new contract with Arsenal, according to the FA’s list of registered contracts in December.
Reading down the list, available on the FA website, one name pops out for Gunners fans.
Whilst the names of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertersaker, both who have had new deals announced, will not be a surprise to Gooners, that of Santi Cazorla’s will be.
Looking at the bottom of this page, the name of Arsenal’s Spanish wizard stands out.
The news will be music to the ears of fans at The Emirates. Whilst the team have picked up some key results in his absence, they have looked a lesser side.
Without the flair, composure and creativity of the former Malaga man in the middle, some areas of the side have looked devoid of ideas going forward.
Whilst the news will be a boost to fans in north London, they are still yet to hear the news they all want, new deals for star duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
