Blackburn Rovers were founded all the way back in 1875 and were one of the founding members of the Football League in 1888. During the early years of the English Premier League, Blackburn defied the odds to win the competition in 1994/95 – the only side other than Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal to win the competition. A solid mid-table side for much of the last decade, Blackburn have a reputation for tough, physical play.
