With the summer transfer window quickly approaching, the clamor for new signings at the club will inevitably begin to surface from both the fans and the rumour mill alike. Gooners will be crying out for Wenger to continue his recent trend of high profile and high priced recruiting, but do you Arsenal actually need to buy anyone?

Wenger spoke about possible transfer targets in his press conference yesterday, hinting at limited involvement in the window.

“We have a massive squad, we have a big, big squad, we have 24 players at the moment and we have players like Podolski, Sanogo and Joel Campbell out on loan,” he said.
“So for us it will first be important to prepare well and get the right dimension of the squad and if needed to add what we can add.”
Those sound like the words of a man very much content with his squad. The boss also confirmed that both Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky will be offered new contracts at the club, which won’t help ease the existing congestion within the squad.
It seems Arsenal may actually emphasize more on selling than buying this summer, with numbers the least of their concern. Should Arsenal bring in a signing or two, it won’t be until after a little bit of a clear out. It is incredibly difficult to rotate 24 players, not to mention the 11 more who are on loan.
That is far too many to keep happy and Wenger may look to relieve a bit of his selection headache rather than add to it. Gooners will still be holding out hope for another big name striker or possibly another defensive midfielder to support Coquelin, but realistically we may be looking at a quite summer.
Of course, a lot also depends on the results of the rest of the season. Wenger may feel forced to enter the market should Arsenal fall short on their targets. In that case, we gooners would have to pick our poison. What do you think gooners? Do Arsenal actually need to buy this summer?

Yes as improvements can always be made. I think a genuinely world class GK, LB, CM or Forward will push us up.
