One invincible to another- Robert Pires has heaped praise on former teammate, countrymen, and fellow Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, saying Henry has the necessary attributes to become a coach in the future. Speaking to Sky Sports, Pires said that he believes Henry as well as other members of the invincibles could easily make the transition to coaches.

“I think Thierry would make a good coach but I don’t know what he will do next,” he said.

“I’m not sure whether to say that he is playing, or that he was playing, but I think for the future he has a good profile to be (the head) coach at Arsenal one day.”

“But the same could be said of Patrick Vieira or Dennis Bergkamp. I think everything is possible for that group of Arsenal players.”

Pires also went on to offer his opinion on the possibility of a swansong with the French national team for Henry. He expressed his delight for his former teammate, saying he deserves the gesture.

“I think it’s a great idea because he scored a lot of goals for France,” he said.

“He’s a great player so maybe Didier Deschamps will call him up for the friendly game against Brazil in Paris.

“It would be an emotional occasion and a very nice occasion and I think it’s a great idea.”

The hints are piling up at this point. We can’t take the suspension any more!
