Well, well, well would you look at that?! I can’t quite believe that we are being linked with Barcelona forward Luis Suarez.
Firstly, due to my ignorance of being unable to remove my Premier League blinkered glasses, I wasn’t aware that the Uruguayan international was struggling to set the world alight at the Camp Nou. Furthermore, are these really credible links? It just feels like that because Arsene Wenger bid the now, infamous, £1 over Suarez’s release fee clause when at Liverpool, that the media are just assuming Le Professeur still wants the striker at the Emirates – a case of adding two and two together and getting five (like always).
With Barcelona unable to sign anyone during 2015, you can’t really believe that they La Liga giants would really be up for weakening their team so considerably without being able to bring in a replacement. However, the fact the 27-year-old has only one goal to his name in Spain’s top flight may suggest the Catalan club are not sure Suarez is worth his place.
