In fairness, it wasn’t going to be hard for Arsenal to come off better than last season’s result at Stamford Bridge, after the 6-0 mauling that Chelsea handed out to us.

Sure, we still lost and failed to register a shot on target for the first time in over a decade but conceding a penalty and letting in a goal to the Premier League’s top scorer certainly isn’t something to lose sleep over.

The headlines will no doubt lead with Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho’s spat on the sidelines, and the fact Arsenal now find themselves down in eighth place and nine points off the top of the league. However, step this way with me and view those cups as half full rather than half empty.

I promise you, despite our inability yet again to overcome one of the Premier League big boys, there are positives to take.

Another positive is that this result shows what an incompetent manager wenger is, maybe it will help in getting rid of him faster
