Arsenal vs Liverpool remains a big match in the country for historical reasons. The two sides were involved in plenty of title defining matches in the early nineties, and although tomorrow’s match sees the number 11 team against the number 6, the fixture is still promises to be an electric affair.

Wenger echoed these sentiments in press conference yesterday.

“Yes, of course,” he said. “There’s a special atmosphere.

“I have a lot of respect for the crowd at Liverpool because they stand behind their team. I remember one day we were leading 5-1 at Liverpool and they were chanting ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. It’s one of the few grounds in the world where you can see that. There’s a special combination of knowledge of the game at Liverpool and support for their team. I have a huge respect for that.”

Aside from last season’s debacle, this fixture has drawn up some fantastic spectacles in recent years. Ahead of tomorrow’s clash, let’s relive some of our favorite memories in this fixture.
