Only a few weeks ago, it had looked as if Arsenal were slowly edging their way towards a deal to sign Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette but that looks a distant prospect now.

With the French club having drastically dug their heels by raising his valuation towards the £60 million mark, Arsenal have simply been priced out of a move.

If Lacazette does end up staying, you have to applaud Lyon’s resistance towards keeping him in Ligue 1 with the French international having been sought-after for a long while now.
