“So much of the attention on a football club is around an individual and that’s very understandable at Arsenal because we have a giant who’s managing us,”

“Arsène has been a fantastic driver and has put the club in a great, great position. The biggest challenge we’re going to face as a club is that, when that transition from Arsène to the next manager of our football club happens – and I don’t know when that’s going to be – that we come through that strongly.”

That was Ivan Gazidis talking to Arsenal.com and bringing a tear to my eye as I prove that, despite being a fully-grown man, I’ll be inconsolable when the time does sadly come for Arsene Wenger to leave the club.

It’s sensible for the club to be putting in a contingency plan, however, deciding on the person to step into some pretty big shoes will be one of the trickiest decisions the club has ever made in its glorious history.

fits the bill to me, agile, hardworking, fearless and has the tenacity with PL experience. With the kind of resources at the Emirates, Martinez can succeed.

Simeone is the missing link in the Arsenal chain, with him, the guys can win everything for many years to come.

What of Steve Bould? For continuity purpose, Mr Bould should succeed Mr Wenger after he has retired as the Gunners boss. But when will the boss retire? I can see him extending his stay by another 2 more years after he has completed his current 3 years tenure. And if he won trophies with-in those 3 years for us, we will not be against him staying beyond the 3 years he had signed for.
