Even if Emery survives until December, and he probably will. How many points are we seriously getting from this run of fixtures? Unless we pick up maximum points from now until the City game, which I'm certain we won't, then this run of fixtures could see us well off top 4.

We are getting nothing in the league from that set of fixtures. Our (the team and fans) morale could be rock bottom by the time the Chelsea game comes around. Confident the Europa master will get us a win against Standard Liege though.

I’m not really against sacking him now, have no pull towards him at all. But as long as you’re floating around 4th, it’s a big call unless you can get Klopp or Pep.

That's the problem really. I've turned on him a year ago pointing things out that have pointed to there being no serious progress and said back then this would happen. But mid season who can you get to replace him? Absolute top managers under contract are out of reach. Top managers out of a job will think twice about coming here mid season with the first task being salvaging the season instead of being able to work and build from scratch in a prea season. So that points to a typical rest of season caretaker.

You can scrap the idea of Allegri coming here in November or December. Mourinho seems an interesting choice as caretaker, but he'll never sign a contract until just the end of this season. So who's there? Big Sam? Moyes? Spalletti? Even an out of job dud with a big name like Blanc will want a second season if he can turn things around. As much as I liked him initially, looking at his last jobs Marcelino seems just another Emery. Most interesting caretaker would've been Ranieri for me, but he's at Sampdoria now. It's massively left field and will never happen, but looking at transfermarkt's list of out of job managers, the guy I'd call if I had to get someone is Bruno Labaddia. Can't develop a team longterm for the sake of it, but he can work very well with what he's got, stabilize a team and play a mix of solid, standard footie with pragmatism to get results.

If Emery has to go mid season, right now I guess the only viable and realistic option is to hand it to Ljungberg for the rest of the season - which is a gamble in itself - and then get someone in for next season who's still under contract right now. Right now I wouldn't just yet fire him - if he can't get results in the next 3 to 5 games though, he definitely has to go and then it's riding the luck with Freddie.

Thankfully Emery is master specialists in big games!

People talking about sacking a manager in October and he's only lost 2 games......... Foolishness...

It's not about losses tho, we've not looked convincing in a single league game and people see the writing on the well. I mean I know he's not gonna be sacked at this moment but most would rather we don't wait until we completely collapse and we're proactive in making the right decision. Look at our fixture list in the winter. It could get ugly and there's no signs of us improving.

I’m surprised so many people want him out, what if he wins 4/5 league games in a row? Will you guys change your tune again?
I personally wouldn't. I dont particularly think it's about him putting a string of results together, it is about having an identity. Most fans here became fans during Wenger's tenure and are used to seeing the team with some sort of identity that works.

Right now we have a terrible identity if we have one at all and no first 11 or one that we both know is not the best out of our bunch. To add salt to injury, Emery doesn't seem to get a grip of the situation and sort of reacts after critism, puts his **** together then reverts back to his old ways!
I feel the more reason for Emery out is that even when we win we never do it convicingly in the league as was the case against Bournmouth which allows room for the other team to get back as was the case against Watford.

I think everyone in here knew Chelsea would struggle big time this year. I for one thought they would finish outside the top six but it looks like Lampard has steadied their ship and given them a new lease of life with a style that is really nice to watch. That i feel, is what most people here expected from Emery but unfortunately he hasn't delivered and is not going to imo. So the question is, why give him more time when we all know it's not going to work?

Lol, we see all the rondo training videos featuring quick one touch pass, only to see players taking hundreds of touches before making a pass during a match.

I mean what the hell are we trying to do here. Passing for the sake of it. I hope he's analysing his USB stick of this.

This is so ****. The first tactical thing I'd scrap is the by now standard and foreseeable horizontal movements of the CBs while the DM drops deep. Everyone knows it's a standard move and at Arsenal it's executed especially slow and immobile. They know exactly what's going to happen and who they've got to press. E.g. where are the fullbacks? Stationary clinging to the sidelines up high while those unlucky muppets at the back keep shifting the ball between them not knowing what to do or where else to put it.

God damn.
Would take him back as a caretaker untill the end of the season. I have no doubt he would steady the ship and get us top 4. Good vibes again. And we use the time to get Nagelsmann, Ten Hag, or any positive manager in for next season. Or Arsène does so well, stays, and wins the PL/CL double next season and gets the farewell this great man deserves. I MISS YOU!

I'd fully support that, if that were to happen.
If there's one positive - he'd get the best out of Pepe. Personally I'd love to see what Wenger could do with Auba, Laca, Pepe, Martinelli, Saka, Özil, Ceballos, etc, so much attacking talent for him. You just know he'd love working with Guendouzi too.

Sums this guy up, all he's good for is chatting bollocks. Bullshitted his way into the job with his plan to build around Ramsey who he dropped after the first game. Bullshits his way through life with his ethos about hard work, respect, teamwork blah blah.

He got caught putting the moves on a russian girl after a loss? I mean hate him or love him but as a man you have to respect that
