Sometimes I like to find out what happened to previous Arsenal Number 2 goalkeepers.
Alan Miller, (RIP) was Number 2 to David Seaman. Replaced David Seaman during a league match at Leeds United. Alan went onto play for Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion.
During that time, a third goalkeeper, Jim Will, went back to Scotland to join the Police Force.
I remember Graham Stack, he played for Barnet. Graham was also at Hibernian, Hibs also have another Former Arsenal goalkeeper, Matt Macey.
I often relive those 49 undefeated matches. I do believe in signs to a certain extent, and as I was born in 1949, I sometimes tell myself it was our destiny to lose the 50th. Those 49 matches are etched within me and within each player: it is something fundamental, a triumph born out of passion.
