If anything they'll go down as the most underrated at some point once the context fades and the "trophies bro were they at" crowd starts combing Wikipedia for clickbait videos.
I know rivalry is a thing but they literally did everything right. Played brilliant attacking football, won the CL, the league and pushed the most doped team in history to unreal heights, all on a relatively small budget.

Sales is a part of squad management. If someone is willing to pay a lot for a player it's because that player is seen as top quality, meaning you're removing quality from the squad and have to replace it. They've done really well in that regard for sure, but I don't really count spending like that against anyone. Net spend is a much better indicator as it shows how much money/quality you've directly added to the squad.
They're also fairly low in terms of wage spending. What Klopp has achieved is genuinely incredible.
